Reconstruction of tomb

(Pakal the Great) Found in the funerary crypt, Temple of the Inscriptions at Palenque, Chiapas (AD683). The eyes are fashioned of shell and obsidian and all the pieces were once fastened to a wooden backing, now rotted away.
